Later she found the clone of her husband, and we see two clones on a different planet smiling.
2. The Adam Project (2022)
The Adam Project is one of the biggest successes in Ryan Raynold’s acting career. Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie is about a time traveler who decides to escape his wife’s death by escaping the year 2018.
Unfortunately, the plane crashed, and he landed in 2022 when Adam was just 12 years old. The older Adam wins the trust of the younger one, and they finally succeed in killing Sorian, who wants to control the world.
They also find that Laura, Adam’s wife, is still alive, and she also participates in their mission. Later. The younger Adam returns to his time, but he is a happy child now. On the other side, the older Adam reaches the time when he first met Laura.
The movie starts with the love story of two scientists named Augustine Lofthouse and Jean Sullivan. But eventually, the couple decides to part ways while Jean is pregnant.
Later, the two meet, but Lofthouse refuses to see his daughter. The movie then shifts to years later when the earth is on the verge of destruction. Only a few humans are alive, and a group of scientists is on a mission to find life on Jupiter’s moon.
Lofthouse is alive but can die anytime, he tries to communicate with the team and tries to inform them about the situation on earth. However, the team comes, and the lovers meet again.
Lofthouse confesses that he knew that it was his daughter that he found in his kitchen. Then the mother and the daughter returned to Jupiter’s moon.
A neuroscientist tried to reunite with his family by transferring their memory into clones along with himself. He succeeds in doing so. But the organization he works for gets to know about this, and they engage in a dispute.
In the end, we see the clone and the real Scientist making a deal about living their lives peacefully separately.
5. Avatar (2009)
Avatar is one of the greatest hits of all time. Everything about this movie is just perfect. Directed by James Cameron, this movie is a must when we talk about movies like Inception.
In Inception, the characters need to sleep to go to their dream world. Similarly, the scientists need to sleep so that their Avatar character can wake up and take out information about that different world which is rich in resources.
But the scientist falls in love there and also realizes the dark truth behind this mission. He decides to live in his avatar character forever and be a part of the other world.
6. Oblivion (2013)
Oblivion is another human vs. alien movie, but the story is something exceptional. Directed byJoseph Kosinski, Tom Cruise plays the leading role of a technician.
He is sent to earth to fix the planes that are fighting against the aliens. The human race is now living on some different planet. But when he reached earth, he discovered something unexpected.
The story starts with a frustrated scientist who is currently farming and living with her daughter. She complains that there is a ghost in her room.
Later, he got a call from Nasa to go on a mission to look for planets to live on. Eventually, he tries to communicate with her daughter about the past and tells her the secrets of gravity and the black hole.
Because of this, His daughter, who is now 23 years old, succeeds in solving the problem. In the end, we see that the human race is now on a different planet.
8. Mortal Engines (2018)
Mortal Engines is one of those movies that took scientific imagination to the next level. Directed by Christian Rivers, the movie is set in the future, where people have adopted a new normal.
Now cities have their own soul. People have started living in mobile cities that hunt each other for resources and humans. We see the war between two such cities.
9. Passengers (2016)
Have you ever heard of romance in space? This is what happens to Jim and Aurora, played by Chris Patt and Jennifer Lawrence (No Hard Feelings Actor) in Passengers.
The two scientists are on a mission to land on another planet and start new lives. But an accident causes them to be awake from their hibernation. Jim is the first to wake up, and he wakes up Aurora but doesn’t reveal that.
Over the course of time, she realizes that Jim has lied to her and refuses to talk to him again. However, their other companions make her understand, and the couple reunites.
The situation comes when Aurora needs to choose her hibernation and her lover. She chooses her lover. The movie ends with a glimpse of the couple on a new, happy and prosperous planet.
10. The Space Between Us (2016)
A son’s desire to meet his father makes him cross light years and come to earth from mars in the movie The Space Between Us. Yes, director Peter Chelsom has portrayed the love story between a father and son, but in the end, the son realizes that his father was right before his eyes all these years.
Nathaniel, the CEO of a space travel company, is on a mission to plant human lives on mars. The astronaut Sarah, who is pregnant, goes to Mars and gives birth to her son Gardner.
As he grows up, Gardner decides to find his father and get to know that his father is on earth through an old video of her mother.
Overcoming all the obstacles, Gardner goes to earth, but his body is not eligible to survive on earth’s gravity. Somehow he manages to reach the place but finds out that the man he saw in that video is actually his uncle.
Right before he is about to die, Gardner recognizes that Nathaniel is his father, who saves him and takes him back to Mars.
The movie starts with a man who is haunted by some dreams in which he is a secret agent. Over the course of time, he actually gets to know that he is a secret agent and that false memories were planted in his brain to manipulate him.
Gradually, he starts recalling his real memories, and the next adventure is worth your watch.
12. Looper (2012)
It is very evident from the name, Looper is about time loops. The story is set in a time when the system works differently. An assassin, Joe murders people, but due to the advanced tracking system, he cannot dump dead bodies.
To escape this problem, teh dead bodies are actually dumped in the past. An agent takes the responsibility for this. To close the loop, when an assassin becomes old and dies, he is sent back in time so that his younger self can kill him.
Joe falls in trouble when his wife is killed, and he tries to save her by going back and forth in time.
13. Arrival (2016)
In the movie Arrival, Aliens come to the US humans name them Heptapods. Through communication, it is revealed that the aliens were talking about weapons. The entire world starts panicking, thinking that they are trying to destroy the world.
Later, it is revealed that the weapon they have been talking about is nothing but language. Through language, they can learn the memories of the future.
The story then shifts to the present, where the leading characters are trying to communicate with the aliens. In the end, we see that one of the scientists reveals what will happen to them in the future.
14. Lucy (2014)
Lucy, played by Scarlett Johnson, is a student who gets into drugs through her boyfriend. Later, a bag of drugs is implanted in her stomach to transport it after her boyfriend got killed.
But someone kicks her stomach, and the bag of drugs explodes in her stomach. Because of the effects of the drug, she turns into an emotionless human who kills her captors.
She tries to find a doctor who can fix her problem. Eventually, she finds a scientist who agrees to help her, but in return, she has to tell him everything. Lucy agrees.
In the end, her body explodes into molecules and turns all the computers in the lamb into supercomputers.
15. Tenet (2020)
Tenet is another movie directed by Christopher Nolan,one of the best filmmakers. A group of secret agents is on a mission to find terrorists. Gradually they come to know that a pill has been invented through which they can go back in time and prevent the events that can harm the present.
The movie has a thrilling element, too, that you would love to experience. So, you can give it a watch to save the future!
