We all are aware of the benefit of having a glass of fresh juice in the morning. Most importantly, many people switch to juices to reduce weight. But other than weight loss, there are many more benefits of consuming juices. Thus, today we are going to discuss the benefits of anti-inflammatory juices.

Moreover, people are beginning to turn to juice for treating inflammation and pain relief, especially since that colorful liquid is packed with antioxidants and other anti-inflammatory characteristics and properties!

What is inflammation?

First and foremost, let us begin by understanding what inflammation is. When your immune system is activated, your body releases inflammatory cells. However, these cells either fight bacteria or repair injured tissue.

Although this process is essential for the body, chronic inflammation occurs when your body produces inflammatory cells, even when you are not sick or injured. Inflammation is a sign of many chronic illnesses, including arthritis and Alzheimer’s, and many others.

When your body cells come into contact with an attacking agent (such as viruses, bacteria, or harmful substances) or sustain an injury, it activates your immune system. After that, your immune system’s initial reaction is to produce inflammatory cells and cytokines.

These cells initiate an inflammatory response in order to capture and fight bacteria and other pathogens or to begin repairing wounded tissue. As a result, you may have discomfort and uneasiness and symptoms like swelling, bruising, or redness.

However, inflammation has an impact on biological systems that are not visible. Moreover, Chronic inflammation can harm body cells, increasing the chance of developing a variety of chronic health disorders such as heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Thus, anti-inflammatory juices and diet are important to deal with these side effects.

Recipes for Anti-Inflammatory Juices

The below-mentioned recipes for anti-inflammatory juice include a variety of free-radical fighting ingredients that can help you battle inflammation and enhance your overall health. I bet you’ll love these immunity-boosting healthy anti-inflammatory juices, which not only taste wonderful but also make you feel amazing!

Parsley Juice

Parsley is loaded with numerous vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins K, A, C, and E. Moreover, it also helps in reducing bloating and blood pressure as it’s a natural diuretic. However, parsley also contains many anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents like carotenoids, luteolin, and apigenin. All these components help in fighting against chronic inflammation and reduce the risk of diseases like heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Moreover, it also reduces the risk of cancer, and it is amazing if you include this in your routine.

Other than this, parsley juice is great for energizing and giving a healthy start to your day. However, the recipe is quite simple, and you can also customize it according to your preference:

  • You can easily find flat-leaf parsley in any grocery store, so take a few leaves of parsley and add it to your juicer.
  • Then, for the tangy flavor, you can add some ginger and lemon as well.
  • Instead of water, I like to add a medium size cucumber to this mix and run it through the juicer.

Pineapple juice

Pineapple is abundant in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Moreover, it contains an enzyme called bromelain that helps in digestion as well. Pineapple is also a rich source of fiber and essential amino acids, which makes it ideal for use as a core ingredient for our anti-inflammatory juice.

However, the recipe for anti-inflammatory pineapple juice is very simple. The best part is you can substitute and customize it according to your choice and preference:

  • Add roughly chopped pineapple.
  • For the tanginess, you can also add a few slices of peeled oranges.
  • Moreover, you can just throw in a small chunk of ginger and some pepper fruit.
  • Mix all these ingredients and run them through the juicer.

Green apple juice

Green apples are filled with an essential, potent anti-inflammatory flavonoid called quercetin which is an excellent agent for your skin. This reminds me of a famous saying, ‘ an apple a day keeps the doctor away.’ With that being said, it’s very effective in battling against any stomach issues such as intestinal inflammation symptoms and other chronic inflammatory diseases as well.

Moreover, the recipe is quite simple you can just have it on its own or make it in the below-mentioned way for extra benefits:

  • Roughly chopped green 2-3 mid-sized apples.
  • Add fresh ginger, turmeric roots, and lemon.
  • Cucumber and mint leaves.
  • Juice out all the ingredients by running them through the juicer.

Celery Juice

Celery is known as a superfood as it’s packed with antioxidants and is a great source of vitamins and minerals. Moreover, it helps in clarifying the skin, stimulates hair growth, reduces inflammation, and helps in reducing cholesterol. However, in the long run, celery juice helps in lowering blood sugar level and boost hydration as well.

Celery also helps in reducing the risk of Parkinson’s disease, infertility, and cancer. Moreover, it’s loaded with potassium and vitamins like A, C, and K. This makes celery ideal for fighting inflammation and symptoms of chronic inflammation as well. Here is a recipe that will give you the maximum benefits of Celery Juice.

  • Add some celery, and to cancel out the bitterness, you can add a medium size carrot in the blender.
  • For the tanginess, you can add some fresh ginger and squeeze some lemon juice as well.
  • Blend this well and taste the freshness of this anti-inflammatory juice.

The Benefits of Anti-inflammatory Juices

  • Consuming Anti-inflammatory juices can help you get more anti-inflammatory components in your diet, including luteolin, apigenin, and quercetin, all of which are abundant in all the above-mentioned recipes.
  • Concentrating high amounts of vitamins, minerals, and other plant components in a single anti-inflammatory glass of juice will boost absorption, give your digestive system a break, and reduce inflammation.
  • The use of anti-inflammatory foods through diet and juicing may help to control inflammatory symptoms by increasing antioxidant levels and modifying the microbiome of the gut with good bacteria.
  • All these components can help in reducing inflammation and boost the body’s immunological response while cleansing and detoxifying the body, promote digestion, control blood sugar levels, give joint pain relief, ease pain, and even have anti-cancer properties.
