The neighborhood of Garfield Park witnessed a major shooting outbreak on the night of Halloween.
David Brown who is the superintendent of Chicago police confirmed the news and told that 14 people has been severally injured due to the shooting.
He also stated that the shooting was very sudden and nobody on the streets was prepared for it. It happened within a few seconds and has been recorded on the Police Observation Device (POD) camera and soon updates about it will be revealed.
The superintendent of Chicago Police also said that among the 14 injured people are victims of all age groups.
Three children who were also injured in the stroke of bad luck, children of 3, 11, and 13 years were part of the shooting. The other victims were teenagers and adults.
According to NBC NEWS, the injured and horrified victims were taken to various nearby hospitals but the majority of them have been shifted to Stronger Hospital, W Ogden Ave, Chicago, U.S.
At least ten ambulances were sent to the spot to give emergency medical treatment to the victims by the Chicago Fire Department.
Few of the victims are in critical condition while the rest of them are not in the life-threatening condition as of now.
Brown, also pointed out that there were two shooters but the exact number of shooters can be revealed only after the footage is checked and verified properly.
As per the recorded footage of the incident, it could be seen that the whole matter happened in a fraction of a second when a car drove by and two shooters started to fire randomly at anyone on the streets of California and Polk.
The police of Chicago had no prior information or clue about any attack that could take place on the night of Halloween. It was all sudden, the motive of the shooters is unknown to the police and the victims yet.
The police are also preparing to set up detectives so that the actual reason for the sudden attack can be revealed as soon as possible.
David Brown also confirmed that there were normal groups of people who were roaming at the corner of the place where the accident took place, there was no reason to doubt anybody for the incident.
The victims who were trapped and injured in the shooting were also part of the crowd in the streets of Garfield Park and as reported, they are still traumatized by the incident.
The recovery of the victims is the prayer of all at present.
The police of Chicago are currently reviewing all the footage they have got and are also waiting for the victims to get well soon so that they can interview them more about the shooting incident.
Any news related to the shooters, the number of shooters, and the car has not been disclosed yet.
The investigation is still ongoing and soon some updates about the incident shall be revealed by the police of Chicago.
The police department has also put up prize money of $15,000 for anyone who can give major information relating to the incident.
