The cowboys’ defeat against the Packers on Sunday was unexpected for the viewers.
The return of Cowboy’s coach Mike McCarthy to Lambeau Field was much hyped and awaited by the fans but his return did not show any positive turning point in the gameplay.
McCarthy has done the thing that no one could imagine and has never happened in the history of the Dallas Cowboys. He became a coach to a team that had to lose after entering the fourth quarter with a massive lead of 14 points.
According to CBS sports, even the Packers did not expect such a turning point in the game despite hosting the match on their own Lambeau Field. The Packers had already accepted their fate to lose before the match started but such a turn in the game amazed them as well.
Former coach Mike McCarthy, 59, who is an American football coach besides being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys was also the coach of the Packers and maybe that could be the reason for his uncertain gameplay.
The owner of the Cowboys too was exasperated with the loss and conveyed his anger saying that the match was a total disappointment.
In this matter, being the former coach of the Packers and now coach of the Cowboys, Mike had to leave Lambeau Field with much embarrassment.
The Cowboys were at 190-0 when they entered their fourth quarter on Sunday, with such a heavy lead it is very sad to not achieve the expected result.
A team whether winning or losing mostly depends on the coach or it needs to be said so, Cowboys lost the battle in the moment when it could matter the most. The victory could have been tremendous.
The Packers (4-6) had won against the Cowboys (6-3), and it was expected by all that the Cowboys with a lead of 195-1 will the spotlight against the rivals but with so many penalties and missing targets in the high time resulted from the opposite.
The packers played hard to gain the last 17 points to turn the ultimate match upside down. They were a team who lost five matches in a row and could have been easily defeated but by putting their all in they proved the Cowboys wrong.
Jerry Wayne Jones, 80, owner of the Dallas Cowboys is very much disappointed with Mike’s coaching. He said that they knew they could win in Lambeau Field but the team did not play enough for the win or maybe took it a little lightly that’s where Mike McCarthy should have owned up and responded something.
Both McCarthy and Jones are pledging to learn from this match and never repeat what has happened on the field of Lambeau. They took this setback, nine penalties in 83 yards, faulty gameplay, and wrong execution as a hard lesson.
McCarthy also stated that he loved how the game was played and this should be a lesson for the Cowboys players to learn from the Packers to achieve what they want.
The Cowboys surely need to find and set a new game plan to easily win or have to own up to getting defeated.
