The CMT Award Show in 2022 was hosted in April, where Ballerini was about to perform with co-hosts Kane Brown and Anthony Mackie, but unfortunately, she tested Covid positive before the show and thus could not perform live from the center.
Though she was terminally ill with Covid, she continued to perform from her home, where CMT had set up equipment for her to go live on camera.
Brown and Mackie continued to perform from the live show at CMT while Ballerini was doing her work from home.
Underwood is currently on her professional tour, while Ballerin just came back from her Heart-first Tour in October.
