The Chairman and CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon announced his retirement by releasing a statement with Businesswire. As per the press release, Vince McMohan talks about his experience at WWE throughout the years.
He said, “As I approach 77 years old, I feel it’s time for me to retire as Chairman and CEO of WWE. Throughout the years, it’s been a privilege to help WWE bring you joy, inspire you, thrill you, surprise you, and always entertain you. I would like to thank my family for mightily contributing to our success, and I would also like to thank all of our past and present Superstars and employees for their dedication and passion for our brand.”
He showed his gratitude to the fans of WWE for turning this form of sports entertainment a huge success. He also assured the audience that WWE will further proceed with entertainment with the same zeal and commitment. The company will further be led by his daughter, Chairwoman and Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon and Co- CEO Nick Khan. He assured that he is sure about the growth and success of WWE as he is passing his legacy to the capable and responsible hands which includes the outstanding group of Superstars, executives and employees.
The retiring CEO further recapitulates his statement by adding, “As the majority shareholder, I will continue to support WWE in any way I can.
