However, Rickard Oste, a food science professor at Lund University who later founded the oat drink brand Oatly, pioneered commercial oat milk in Sweden in the 1990s.

Unlike traditional oat milk, which is made by soaking oats in water before incorporating and straining it for liquid milk, Oatly developed an industrial process that uses enzymes to break down oat starches and then separates the bran from the oats, retaining their macronutrients and improving the milk’s texture.

Thus, even if its produced commercially, you are not compromising on the nutritional value of the milk.

What does it taste like?

Coming to the main question, what does oat milk taste like? So, If you’ve never had oat milk, you’re losing out, my friend. Some of the greatest coffee enthusiasts believe that oat milk is one of the best coffee creamers. The same goes for bubble tea, milkshakes, and even milk tea!

Surprisingly, the flavor is somewhat similar to cow’s milk. Moreover, it tastes sweeter. It doesn’t taste like cereal milk. However, it can bring a smile to your face in the same way as cereal milk does. That is why most people enjoy it.

Furthermore, Oat milk complements various kinds of beverages, it can be hot or cold, with its oat-like flavor, texture, and sweetness.

Does it Oat Milk than Cow’s milk?

Oat milk is smoother and occasionally richer than cow’s milk. It’s delightfully tempting and mouth-watering. Keep in mind that you can not obtain the same fat content as in regular milk creamy.

However, the density and consistency of your favorite oat milk can be managed by the manufacturer or brand. That means they have complete control over how creamy the oat milk develops.

You’re mistaken if you assume you can’t achieve the same texture as conventional cow’s milk. It’s not your typical almond or nut milk. Instead, oat milk is intriguing since it has a creamy feel even with a small amount.

Try it for yourself, and you’ll know what I am talking about.

Nutritional value of Oat Milk

Oat milk contains about the same amount of protein as other plant-based kinds of milk, such as coconut milk, soy milk, and almond milk. However everyone has their own taste preference, but the nutty flavor of oat milk is so refreshing and tasty.
